Meet Joanne

I’m Joanne—a Midlife Transformation Coach, a straight-talking Yorkshire woman, a mum, a partner and someone who knows what it feels like to reach midlife and quietly wonder, “Is this really it?”

I didn’t become a coach because I had life perfectly worked out. I became one because I know what it is like to spend years being capable, carrying responsibility, supporting everyone else and gradually losing sight of yourself along the way.

Midlife brought me face-to-face with the parts of my life that no longer fitted. It made me question who I was beneath the roles, expectations and version of myself I had learned to perform. Reconnecting with myself wasn’t one dramatic moment—it was a series of honest decisions to stop abandoning what I needed.

That lived experience now sits alongside my professional coaching training. I help women untangle what is happening beneath the surface, rebuild trust in themselves and create a next chapter that feels like their own.

My Story Didn’t Begin With Having It All Figured Out

For a long time, I was the woman who coped. I got on with things, carried what needed carrying and kept moving—even when something inside me knew I was no longer fully present in my own life.

Midlife didn’t arrive with one neat answer. It arrived with questions. Who am I now? What do I want? Why do I feel disconnected from a life I worked so hard to build? Those questions were uncomfortable, but they were also the beginning of something honest.

I learned that change doesn’t begin with having the perfect plan. It begins when you stop dismissing what you feel, start listening to yourself and give yourself permission to want more than simply getting through each day.

I don’t coach from a pedestal. I coach from lived experience, professional training and a genuine belief that midlife can be the beginning—not the end—of becoming yourself.

Why I Became A Coach

I became a coach because I know how powerful it can be to have someone truly listen—not rush to fix you, dismiss what you feel or tell you what you should do.

So many women reach midlife carrying years of emotions, expectations and experiences they have never had the space to untangle. They may look capable on the outside while privately feeling overwhelmed, disconnected or unsure of who they have become.

I wanted to create the kind of support that helps women feel seen, understood and safe enough to be honest with themselves. Coaching gave me the tools to combine that human connection with practical ways to recognise patterns, challenge old beliefs and begin making meaningful changes.

How I Work

My coaching is honest, compassionate and practical. I will support you, challenge you when needed and give you the space to understand what is really happening beneath the surface.

Honest Conversations

You won’t receive rehearsed answers or vague advice. We’ll talk openly about what is happening and what may need to change.

Support That Fits You

There is no one-size-fits-all process. We work with your experiences, your needs and the pace that feels right for you.

Practical, Lasting Change

Understanding yourself matters, but so does knowing what to do next. You’ll leave with tools and actions you can use beyond our sessions.

Professional Training, Human Approach

My work combines professional coaching training with practical tools that support emotional awareness, confidence, self-trust and lasting change. I don’t use one rigid method—I draw from different approaches depending on what you need.
